Terms of Use

Sarto, a photo compressor and image resizer for iPhone and Android, published by Revolis.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and {{LEGAL_NAME}}, publishing as Revolis ("we", "us"), about the Sarto app. They are not an agreement with Apple or Google. By installing or using Sarto you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. What Sarto is

Sarto reduces the file size of photos, resizes them and converts them between formats, on your device.

3. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sarto on devices you own or control, as allowed by the rules of the store you got it from. You may not sell, rent or sublicense the app, copy it except as the store allows, reverse-engineer it except where the law gives you that right, get around its limits, or use it to break the law.

4. Your photos

Your photos remain yours. Sarto processes them on your device and does not send them to us. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you process and for how you use the results.

5. Free use and Sarto Pro

  • Free use. Sarto can be used at no cost for a limited number of photos a day, currently 5. We may change this allowance.
  • Sarto Pro removes the daily limit and adds the features described in the app at the time of purchase.
  • Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It gives access to Sarto Pro for as long as we offer and support Sarto, on the store account that bought it. It is not a promise that the app will exist forever.
  • Yearly is a subscription. It renews automatically every year at the price shown when you bought it, until you cancel.
  • Prices are shown in the app, come from the store, and include taxes where the store adds them.
  • Sarto Pro can be restored on your other devices with the same store account, using "Restore purchases".

6. Subscriptions

A yearly subscription renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel it in your store account settings, not by writing to us. After cancelling, you keep Sarto Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your data does not cancel a subscription.

7. Refunds and withdrawal

Purchases are sold by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their rules. If the law of your country gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, that right applies as the store's purchase process describes, including where it ends once the content has been supplied with your agreement.

8. No guarantee of acceptance

Sarto sets the file size, pixel size and format you ask for. It does not check, and we do not promise, that a photo meets the requirements of any authority, form, examination body or marketplace, or that it will be accepted. Always check the requirements of whoever receives the photo. Preset names are descriptions of common limits. Sarto is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any government or any company named in a preset; their names and trademarks belong to their owners.

9. Deleting originals

If you use "Delete originals", the photos you confirm are removed from your library, and from your cloud library if it is synced. This is your decision and we cannot undo it.

11. Changes to the app

We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Sarto. If we stop, we will say so in the app or on this site in advance where we reasonably can. Rights you have under the law of your country are not affected.

12. Support

Help is available at Help and contact. We try to answer but do not promise a response time or uninterrupted availability. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Sarto.

13. Warranty

To the extent the law allows, Sarto is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. This does not take away rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

14. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of photos or other data, or for a photo being rejected by a third party, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Sarto in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury.

15. Terms for the App Store version

If you got Sarto from the Apple App Store:

  1. These terms are between you and us only. We, not Apple, are responsible for Sarto and its content.
  2. Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
  3. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
  4. If Sarto fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  5. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing claims about Sarto, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or privacy law.
  6. If a third party claims that Sarto infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for handling that claim.
  7. You confirm that you are not in a country under a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  8. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use Sarto, such as your mobile data agreement.
  9. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

16. Terms for the Google Play version

If you got Sarto from Google Play, your purchase is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of {{GOVERNING_COURT}} have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts or consumer bodies of that country.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is significant, the app tells you before it takes effect. If you continue to use Sarto after that, the new terms apply.

19. General

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force. If translations of these terms differ, the English version applies unless the law of your country says otherwise.
